Outdoor cooking is a passion. What's the difference between a Griddle and a Grill?
Griddles have a smooth flat surface. Grills have distinctively raised ridges or bars with openings in between allowing food to cook directly over the heat source. Griddles are made with either steel cast iron or stainless steel.
Griddles transfer heat directly from the metal surface to the food, cooking and browning evenly. The flame never touches the food.
Cooking temperatures are different. Grills cook at higher temperature, while griddles work their magic around 350°F (177°C).
What can you cook on your griddle? Almost everything – from eggs, burgers, pancakes, shrimp, vegetables, hot dogs, steaks and burritos. The choices are endless!
